The Economic Reform Oversight Committee

Introduction

Cognizant of the fact that the country is currently undergoing comprehensive economic reforms, the National Assembly, in its sitting of Tuesday 25th November, 2008, passed a Motion to have an Economic Reforms Oversight Committee constituted.

Members of the Committee

The Committee is comprised of five Members (the Opposition did not nominate any members to the Committee). The Chairman of the Committee is Hon. Charles de Commarmond.

Terms of Reference

The Committee shall work to:

1. Ensure that the reform process evolves in peace, stability and transparency.
2. Ensure that the population which we represent does not endure undue and unfair hardship.
3. become a medium for public education and empowerment and,
4. act as the focal point of the National Assembly for the economic reform program.
